Dr. Carvin again again again talked to
you about a subluxation. Kind of the
fifth component of a subllexation is
really kind of the end result of a
longstanding subllexation or a
long-standing misalignment in our spine.
Eventually what eventually happens
because we create abnormal weight
bearing in the spine and really the
weight’s now being pushed into the the
actual vertebrae itself. The body starts
to redistribute its calcium and it lays
more calcium down. Hence that’s what
arthritis is. problem is arthritis grows
out, the bone grows out sharp, and it
cuts tissue, and it ends up being a very
painful situation. And our necks, how
that really starts to happen is um you
know, we’re we’re supposed to have a
normal neck curvature from the side. Um
and you’ll see that here. This is our
spinal cord. But when we lose this
curvature, what happens is the spine’s
really straightening. When it does
stretch, when it straightens, it puts a
lot of tension on the cord itself. We
see this really common with things like
headaches and even sinus problems and
shoulder and neck pain and numbness and
tingling down in hands and so forth. The
problem is if a person stays here over
time because they’re now compressing the
front side of the spine, what eventually
ends up happening is those bones start
to become really degenerative and
arthritic. So, um, if you’re in any one
of these phases, the quicker we can kind
of get you going back to a normal
direction, really slows that process
down of arthritis, gets it more under to
a normal aging pattern, then certainly
things being accelerated. And these are
one of the things that’s evaluated from
an X-ray standpoint when we do take your
X-rays. But the the final part of the
equation, if you’ve had long-standing
subluxations, is where we start to see
some degenerative changes. If you

Dr. Carpenter and his staff are very nice and welcoming! Every time i go in for treatment , i come out feeling much better! My back had been giving me a fit for months and i was taking ibuprofen for temporary relief. I'm impressed that Dr. Carpenter has never told me to take any pain medicine. Noooow after 4 treatments, i'm getting out of bed instead of rolling out of bed! I will continue to go to Lexington Spinal Care and would recommend them to evetyone who is having spinal issues.
I can’t believe it took me as long as it did to seek help for my back pain. I have been a patient of Lexington Spinal Care for the last 12 years. I love Dr. Carpenter and all the staff! Everyone is so caring and friendly- they make you feel like family! You never feel like a number and they greet you by name. They offer many different types of treatments and consistently upgrade their equipment. Over the years, I have received adjustments, pettibon therapy, spinal decompression, rolling table, TENS, and ultrasound therapies. However, other therapies are offered in the office if you need.
